Privacy Policy

Bangunin is built to need as little of your data as possible. There is no account, and the app does not run its own servers; subscriptions are checked through RevenueCat (see Purchases). Here is exactly what happens with your information.

1. No account, no server

You don't sign up. Bangunin doesn't ask for your name, phone number, or email to use the app. Your alarms, streaks, and settings are stored only on your device.

2. Camera, photos, pose and audio (wake-up missions)

Some missions ask you to take a photo, register an object reference, perform an exercise in view of the camera, or choose a custom sound. This is handled on your device only:

• Photos taken for a mission are used to verify you're awake and are deleted right after the check. They are never uploaded, stored, or sent anywhere.
• An Object Hunt reference image is stored locally until you replace it or delete its alarm. It is kept separate from temporary attempt photos.
• Squat and pushup missions derive temporary body-position landmarks from live camera frames. Frames and landmarks are not saved or uploaded.
• Motion is read from your phone's sensors in the moment and is not recorded or transmitted.

3. Custom alarm sounds

If you set your own audio or video as an alarm sound, that file stays on your device and is used only to play your alarm. It is not uploaded.

4. Waitlist (this website only)

If you enter your email in the waitlist form on our website, we use it for one thing: to email you when Bangunin launches (and to send early-access offers). Waitlist emails are handled by our form provider, Formspree. You can ask us to delete your email at any time (see Contact).

5. Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store under their own terms and privacy policies. We never receive or store your payment card details.

To check whether your subscription or free trial is active, the app uses RevenueCat, a subscription service. RevenueCat receives a random, anonymous app user ID created on your device, your purchase and subscription history from the store (product, dates, renewal and cancellation status), and basic device and app information such as the platform, app version, country/storefront and currency. It does not receive your name, email, photos, sounds or alarms. This information is used only to unlock Premium on your device and for subscription reporting, never for advertising or tracking.

6. Analytics

Bangunin does not use advertising, behavioral tracking, or its own analytics or crash-reporting service. The Google ML Kit component used for on-device pose checking may collect limited device and app information, a per-installation identifier, performance metrics, API configuration, feature events, and error codes for diagnostics and usage analytics. Google states that this information is not intended to identify a person. Camera images and pose landmarks remain on the device and are not uploaded by Bangunin. Development builds may also print non-identifying debug events to the local developer console.

7. Children

Bangunin is intended for students and general users. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
